1998

The founding of the company.

The company was founded in 1998 in Groß-Umstadt in southern Hesse under the name “Grizzly Gartengeräte GmbH & Co. KG” by the general managers Inge Christ and Horst Lieb, with the participation of Thono GmbH Herdecke.

The goal was to supply the German garden and leisure market with innovative and inexpensive garden equipment. As partners in this project, we had the assistance of strong Italian manufacturers of garden machines from the very start.

This partnership generated rapid growth, helping Grizzly Tools GmbH & Co. KG become one of Europe’s leading importers in the garden and leisure market today. Additional milestones since the founding:

2005

Expansion of the Logistics & Customer Service department

Commissioning of the Messel pallet rack warehouse with about 5000 m² of storage area to expand the Logistics
and Customer Service department.

2007

Product range expansion

The product range is expanded to include cleaning appliances, such as pressure washers and wet & dry vacuum cleaners.

2011

Takeover from Thono

Acquisition of the company shares by Grizzly Gartengeräte GmbH & Co. KG.

2014

Name change and founding of Motodox

The company name is changed to “Grizzly Tools GmbH & Co. KG” to better reflect the more extensive product selection. The company moves to the new company headquarters in Großostheim.

2017

Testing and Quality Control Center

Completion and commissioning of the new testing and Quality Control Center (QCC).

2019

“Deltafox” brand launch

Introduction of our new brand “Deltafox” with entry-level models of power tools and garden equipment in the DIY segment, which were placed on the European market for the first time.
